Osteopathy in Faridabad — Treating the Cause, Not Just the Pain
Osteopathy is what TIVA Wellness (ALIGN) is built around. It is a hands-on, whole-body approach that considers the relationship between the spine, joints, muscles, fascia, posture and nervous system, and how these influence movement and overall function. Instead of treating only the spot that hurts, we find what is actually driving the problem and treat that — for spinal and postural pain, and for persistent concerns such as headaches and migraines, sinus complaints, disturbed sleep and digestive dysfunction like IBS. Led by Dr. Tanushree Vedi (PT) at our clinic on Suraj Kund Road, Sector 39, Faridabad.

What Is Osteopathy?
A manual, whole-body way of finding the real source of your pain.
Osteopathy works from a simple idea: the body is one connected system, and pain often shows up somewhere other than where the problem started. A stiff hip can end up as low back pain. An old ankle injury can change how you walk and overload the opposite knee. Long hours at a desk can turn into headaches and jaw tension.
At TIVA our osteopathic practice has a strong focus on spinal and musculoskeletal health, while recognising that dysfunction in one part of the body can influence the way the entire system functions. Personalised osteopathic care may therefore be considered not only for spinal and postural disorders, but also for chronic headaches and migraines, sinus-related complaints, sleep disturbance, digestive dysfunction such as IBS, and other persistent functional concerns.
So an osteopathic session starts with assessment, not treatment — your history, how you move, and where the restriction actually sits. The treatment itself is entirely hands-on: gentle joint articulation, soft-tissue and muscle-energy techniques, stretching and mobilisation, chosen for what your body needs that day. No two sessions look the same.
Because effective care begins with understanding the whole person, not just the symptom, each patient has an individual clinical assessment and treatment is then selected according to their own presentation, needs and goals.
Because it is manual and drug-free, osteopathy suits people who would rather not stay on long-term painkillers, people whose scans came back “normal” but who are still in pain, and people who have had only short-lived relief from treatment aimed at the painful spot alone.
Osteopathy Or Physiotherapy — Which Do You Need?
They overlap, and at TIVA they are often combined. Here is the honest difference.
Osteopathy
- Looks at the whole body to find what is causing the pain
- Almost entirely hands-on manual treatment
- Strong fit for recurring, unexplained or long-standing pain
- Also considered for migraines, sinus, sleep and IBS-type complaints
- Joint articulation, soft-tissue work, mobilisation
- Often gives relief in fewer, less frequent sessions
Physiotherapy
- Focuses on restoring strength and function in the affected area
- Manual therapy plus prescribed, progressive exercise
- Strong fit for post-injury, post-surgery and neuro rehab
- Includes sports, spine and neuro physiotherapy
- Usually a structured course of sessions with home exercises
In practice most patients get both: osteopathy to release what is driving the problem, physiotherapy to rebuild strength so it does not come back. Dr. Tanushree Vedi (PT) practises both, so you are assessed once and treated with whichever approach fits — see our physiotherapy in Faridabad page for the physiotherapy side.

Posture, movement and hands-on examination of the joints, muscles and spine — including areas away from the pain itself.
Hands-On Treatment
Gentle articulation, soft-tissue release, muscle-energy technique and mobilisation, tailored to what the assessment found.

Book An AppointmentOsteopathy — Common Questions
What is osteopathy in one line?
A hands-on, drug-free therapy that treats pain by looking at how the whole body moves, not only the spot that hurts.
How is osteopathy different from physiotherapy?
Osteopathy is almost entirely hands-on and whole-body, aimed at finding the cause of recurring or long-standing pain. Physiotherapy focuses on restoring strength and function in the affected area, combining manual therapy with prescribed exercise, and is the usual route after injury or surgery. At TIVA both are practised by the same clinician, so most patients receive a combination.
Where can I find an osteopath in Faridabad?
TIVA Wellness (ALIGN) is at 1st Floor, Unit No. 14, Commerce Business District (CBD), Sector 39, Suraj Kund Road, Faridabad 121009. Osteopathic care is led by Dr. Tanushree Vedi (PT). Appointments can be booked on WhatsApp at +91 77039 98268.
Does osteopathic treatment hurt?
Treatment is generally gentle and should not be painful. Some techniques create a stretching or pressure sensation, and it is common to feel mildly sore for a day afterwards, much like after exercise. Tell your osteopath at any point if something is uncomfortable and the technique will be adjusted.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on how long the problem has been there and what is causing it. Recent, straightforward complaints often settle in three to four sessions; long-standing or recurring problems take longer. You will be given an honest estimate at the end of your first assessment rather than an open-ended plan.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Any X-rays, MRI scans or medical reports relating to the problem, a list of medication you take, and comfortable clothing you can move in. The first appointment runs about 45 to 60 minutes and is mostly assessment.
Do I need a doctor's referral to see an osteopath?
No. You can book directly. If the assessment suggests the problem needs investigation or care outside our scope, you will be told and pointed in the right direction rather than treated regardless.
What conditions does osteopathy treat?
Commonly low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, disc problems, frozen shoulder and rotator cuff pain, tennis and golfer's elbow, headaches and jaw (TMJ) pain, hip and knee pain, osteoarthritis, plantar fasciitis, sports injuries, and posture-related pain from long hours at a desk. Osteopathic care is also considered for chronic complaints such as headaches and migraines, sinus-related symptoms, disturbed sleep and digestive dysfunction such as IBS, where these are linked to how the spine, posture and nervous system are functioning.
